Delivering while on lockdown
Gideon’s we are one of many businesses trying to adapt to the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Following the government’s announcement that restaurants must close, many have had to shut their doors and close to the public. However, we are pleased to say that Gideon’s is battling on and adapting to the changing circumstances with a delivery menu.
While we know that a food delivery presents much less of a risk than a trip to the supermarket, we are also making sure to be stringent in terms of hygiene – washing our hands regularly, social distancing as much as we can and disinfecting surfaces every hour with an antiviral spray. We have set up remote payments to discourage cash handling and our delivery drivers are making sure that delivery is contactless and that they wear gloves.
It is important to us to make sure that our service is as affordable as possible and we are doing this by delivering ourselves rather than relying on delivery services. For an additional fee we have delivered as far out as Borehamwood, Hendon, Bushey, and even Finchley and Radlett. We know that people need to access kosher food at this time and so it is important to us to try to deliver as widely as we can.
We are also offering customers bundles of vegetables with their takeaway just in case they can’t get to the supermarket.
In the meantime, we are taking the opportunity of being closed during the day to make things better. We are working on new developments to the menu, including new burgers, soups and desserts which will be launched in the next few weeks. Also, watch this space for a makeover when we reopen..
To order a delivery, please call us on 020 8958 7062 Sunday to Thursday 5pm to 10pm.
